Welcome to the Burley RUFC web site.
Burley is a warm and welcoming club that plays in the very competitive Yorkshire 4 division.
We are NOW recruiting for both 1st XV & social players, for further details contact the Club Coach on 07872 819962, by Email or please feel free to turn up to training.
Training is on WEDNESDAY nights, the club is open from 6.30pm for a prompt 7pm start.

Adwick-Le-Street 0-41 Burley
Marcus Peel bagged a brace of tries as Burley routed struggling Adwick-Le-Street. Despite a brave showing from the home side they were ultimately outgunned, with Richard Christie, Sean Robertson, Alex Benham, Tim Roberts and Gavin Leeman also crossing to complete an emphatic victory. Tim Roberts also tagged on three conversions.
The 2nd XV unfortunately did not play this weekend, as scheduled opponents Huddersfield YMCA Veterans communicated their inability to fulfil the fixture at 7pm Friday evening, leaving the Maroons with no time to find alternative opposition.
Coaches Comments - Pre-Game Nutrition, You should start loading your carbs 2 days before match day, foods to avoid Chocolate, Sweets, High Fibre Foods, Spicy Foods. Try to eat small portions but every 2-4hrs as this will store on the muscle more effectively. AVOID ALCOHOL AT LEAST 24HRS BEFORE A GAME
