Welcome to the Burley RUFC web site.
Burley will be playing in the Yorkshire 4 league again this year.
We will be hoping to build on the progess made last season which saw us maintain our Yorkshire 4 status following promotion from Yorkshire 5 the previous season as champions.

Training takes place at the club every Tuesday and Thursday night at 7:30 starting from the second week in july and continuing throughout the season.

It's tour time this weekend! We will be travelling to Retford and Nottingham for 2 tour matches, the full Itinerary can be found here. The mini buses will now be leaving from the vespa at 11:45. If anyone needs to make alternative arrangements for getting picked up contact Mark Walton asap.

I just want to say thanks to all the lads who have played for the first team and the club as a whole this season. It’s been great to play rugby with all the old faces and the new additions who have helped to strengthen the team as the season has progressed.
After promotion from Yorkshire 5 last year we knew that this season would be tough and so it has proved. In a very tight league we’ve achieved our aim of retaining our Yorkshire 4 status which gives us a great chance to push on next season. With this in mind lets not forget that pre-season training starts mid-July (date to be confirmed) when we’ll start planning for an assault on the league.
I also just wanted to say thanks to everyone who make a game of rugby on a Saturday afternoon possible – Bomber, Sando, Mally, James Lewin and everyone who works behind the bar. Henry for sorting out kits, player shirts and RFU liaison, Marcus for organising some great events and Luther for nearly killing me every Tuesday (and improving the rugby of anyone who trained under him week in, week out).
Finally I just wanted to thank anyone who came to watch us play our own brand of champagne rugby this season.
Lets have an even better season in 08/09.
