A prop of the old school, Dan's strength lies mostly in his improving scrummaging and general set piece play. Comfortable at both 1 and 3, he provides a solid if unspectacular pillar. Possibly more at home in Vets' rugby where props are expected to move around less quickly, but his fitness and ability is on the up and, with commitment, he could challenge for a regular place this season.
