Experienced even by veteran standards (it is speculated that when William Webb Ellis picked up the ball and ran he actually drew the goalkeeper and passed to Duncan for the first ever try), Duncan is still gamely turning out for the 2nd XV, mostly playing in the back row and sometimes at prop. Whilst no longer at the peak of physical fitness Duncan brings an old head to the side, his wealth of experience being frequently dispensed to the younger players. Will probably only stop playing when physically incapable of doing so.
