The acquisition of Cuthbert from Old Rishworthians last season was a coup for Burley. An explosive back row with pace to burn and superb skills, Cuthbert brings a powerful presence to the Burley side in the Sebastian Chabal mould (although not quite as big and hairy). His tackling in particular is ferocious, and a back row of him, Richie Christie and Henry Bisson would be a halfback's darkest nightmare. Surely a very serious contender for a 1st XV place if he is able to train, and remains fit.
