Burley V Old Otliensians

Another away game another defeat. After last weeks impressive win over Hornsea, Burley suffered a heavy loss at promotion chasing Otliensians.
In the previous E.D.F. cup visit Burley ran Otley close before going down 10-3, a similar effort was distinctly lacking in this game, although 14 points were scored the opposition racked up 41. The Burley scorers were tries by Brad Stovell and Ritchie Parrish both converted by Parrish.
Otliensians are promotion certainties and technically a very good well coached side, but some of the Burley defending was woeful.
To achieve anything in this division we have to try and reach the benchmark set by teams like Otliensians,who obviously put the effort in on the training ground. Teams that dont,will at best tread water,at worst get relagated.
All in all not the best performance of the season, and one which had the Burley following once again creating a poor impression with an opposition club.
