League - Burley 24 - 14 Old Grovians
Burley got their 2009/2010 Yorkshire Division 4 campaign off to a flying start with victory over Old Grovians. The win sees them placed 4th in the table, with York R.I setting the pace, having thrashed Adwick Le Street 46-0. The 2nd XV were also in action, battling gamely and putting in a strong performance before going down 17-5 away to Morley 3rds. 1st XV Match Report

Preseason Friendly - Old Modernians 10-20 Burley
Burley's 100% preseason continued with a hard fought victory over a spirited Old Modernians side. Tries were scored by Karl Hayward, James Palfrey-Smith, Gavin Binder and Martin Zielinski, and a full match report can be found here.
Preseason Friendly - East Retford 7-46 Burley
Burley opened their pre-season campaign with a fine win over East Retford. Try scorers were Chris Naylor, Kenny Parsons, Richie Cuthbert, Richard Schmidt, Lee Millar, Andrew Clegg and Marcus Peel. 2009/2010 1st XV/2nd XV Captains
Date - 9th June 2009
Following the club's Annual General Meeting held 9th June 2009, the captains for next season have been elected. Jamie Ferguson is to be the new 1st XV captain, with Sean Robertson taking the role of vice captain. Karl Hayward will skipper the 2nd XV this season, with Kenny Parsons as vice. Jim Griffin continues in his role as club captain. Congratulations to all.
